The inspiration of this piece is my favourite painting “Starry night”. The stars in my picture are extra bright because there is no moon. You can even see the reflection of the star light on shiny surfaces like the tree
bark and the hill side. The world can be lit up just by starlight, even if there is no sun or moon!

我住在高樓大廈，希望將來自己能有個後花園。每天只要打開窗，我就可以看見波光粼粼的湖面。傍晚時太陽在湖邊慢慢降落，暖陽照入房子，把我最愛的紫藤花鍍上一層金色。我伴著鳥語花香和層層綠植幸福地品賞媽媽做的愛心曲奇。

Inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s famous art ‘Self-Portrait with Felt Hat’ created in 1888, I was imagining what would be happening if Van Gogh met our famous legend star Michael Jackson and made a art for MJ with the same art tone. Both are legends in centuries that I respected so much and I hope to cross-over they both together with the famous iconic art work style!

The drawing is a landscape painting of an expressive night view of the Vitoria Harbour of Hong Kong which imitating the painting style of van Gogh.

Victoria Harbour is famous for its panoramic night view and skyline, especially viewed from the direction towards Hong Kong Island where the skyline of skyscrapers is superimposed over the ridges behind. You can also admire such iconic buildings as the Bank of China, HSBC Building, the IFC and the Hong Kong Observation view.

Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853–1890) is one of my most favourite painter. He was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter and he painted more than 2,000 pieces of art, including portraits, oil paintings, still life, watercolors, and landscapes within a decade. His famous paintings were included The Starry Night, Portrait of Dr. Gachet, Self-Portrait with Bandaged Ear, The Potato Eaters, etc. Van Gogh’s signature painting style characterizes with energetic, visible brushwork which emphasising desired emotions.

Van Gogh’s signature brushstrokes were used in this painting. The night sky is brimming with whirling clouds and shinning stars that give you the feeling of motion and fluidity. Showing the Vitoria Harbour in a new angle.
