The Gallery of Arts | Yan Na Ayanna Kwok | Group C: Primary school – P4 to P6 | Hand Drawing / Painting | Inspired by famous artworks, I created a mixed-media museum using acrylics, markers, pens, pencils, and more. This playful gallery features a range of 2D and 3D pieces, from classic masterpieces to modern interpretations. As you explore the museum, notice the different perspectives and angles. The two-toned walls in Hall 1 create an unique illusion, while the shading on the second-floor cubes adds depth. Inside, you’ll find famous artworks like Keith Haring’s figures surfing on Hokusai’s “The Great Wave.” I added a pop art twist to the sky and played with optical illusions, like “The Girl with Pearl Earrings” with cubes spilling out of the frame. Even “The Scream” got a basketball-themed makeover! I also included my own original piece, “Mount Fuji with the Red Sun.” There’s modern art that looks like sushi or a person kicking a ball, and cubes held by metal bars, inspired by a real museum with floating cubes. I removed the TVs for a different feel. In the center, a woman in a purple hat sits on a black bench, contemplating a sushi-like artwork. Is it a jellyfish, sushi, or something else entirely? After two weeks of work, I’m proud of my museum masterpiece. | 24-WS-Hong Kong-T3-H-C-0000623 | Detail | |
